GWAR-Lust In Space

Gwar will be releasing their eleventh studio album on August 18, 2009. Gwar has been around since the late 1980s, terrifying people with their crazy looks and extreme onstage performances. In the summer of 2005, Gwar put together the underground metal festival known as Sounds of the Underground including bands such as Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage, In Flames and more. Since 2007, Gwar hasnt put on the annual festival due to heavy competition against Ozzfest and the more recent Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.

With the release of the new album entitled Lust In Space, it sounds like some of their best material to date with classic metal riffs and rocking tunes. Of course the album isnt out yet, but there are samples of songs out there. and from what has been released, this is probably Gwars best album yet. Lust In Space is the follow up album to 2006s Beyond Hell, which featured their most radio-friendly single to date, a cover of Alice Coopers Schools Out.

Lust In Space starts off with a bang that makes the listener want to start to head bang right away with a great riff and double bass with endless drum fills. The Price Of Peace is probably going to be one of the best songs on the album, along with the opening track Let Us Slay. Based on the available advance evidence, this album will be amazing. Maybe the best they have ever written.
